Swiss Engineering for Implant Dentistry
STRAUMANN
Product Features
Selected Straumann implant systems use Roxolid® titanium-zirconium alloy and SLActive® hydrophilic surface technology, depending on the product and clinical indication.
Material and Surface Characteristics
Roxolid® is designed to combine material strength with biocompatibility, while the SLActive® hydrophilic surface is intended to support early osseointegration. Suitability and healing vary by patient and site.
Clinical Use
Implant treatment is planned and performed by a qualified dentist after clinical and imaging assessment. The choice of implant system and protocol is individualized.
The Straumann implant system can be used in conjunction with image-guided and prosthetic treatment planning; the actual implant selection and treatment schedule need to be evaluated according to bone volume, gums, and occlusal conditions.
Swiss Engineering for Implant Dentistry

Product Features
Straumann implants are available with high-strength titanium-zirconium alloy and hydrophilic surface technology. The appropriate implant and surface are selected according to bone, anatomy, bite, medical history, and the treatment plan.

Material and Surface Characteristics
Roxolid® is a titanium-zirconium alloy developed for implant dentistry, and SLActive® is a hydrophilic implant surface. These material and surface characteristics may support a range of clinical options, while primary stability still depends on implant design, bone quality, site preparation, and surgical technique.

Clinical Use
Implant care is planned by a qualified dentist using a clinical and imaging assessment, with digital planning when appropriate. Recommendations are individualized, and no implant system can eliminate surgical or healing risks.
