The Er,Cr:YSGG 2780 nm wavelength is absorbed by water and hydroxyapatite and is used with water spray for ablation or cutting in indicated procedures. It may assist tissue management and debridement, but it does not guarantee less pain, faster healing, or complete sterilization. Benefits and risks depend on the procedure and patient.
